Positive thinking is a powerful thing.

At the office there is a daily or weekly meeting where you find yourself swamped by an already highly stacked workload and not enough hours in the day or week to complete it all. This little voice inside saying "you're not going to get it all done in time". “I’m going to have to work late or at the weekend”. Does this sound familiar?

Our thoughts are fuelled to get through the ever increasing workload. Where is the respite to relax and sleep soundly at night? The voice is still wittering on "you're never going to get all of this done. You'll miss this and that..." The swirling negative thoughts are making what would be an easy task feel like an epic undertaking.

This little negative voice, or as I like to called “the ego” is draining you. Drawing you into darkness of negativity and separation from others. The best way to approach this kind of thing is to turn it on its head. Think of the solutions to get things done quickly. Always as for help.

This help can be within. Simply asking for spiritual guidance or physically asking a colleague or friend for a helping hand. It takes a strong person to feel vulnerable and ask for help. When people work together in harmony, it makes everything all the more worthwhile and you feel happier with a myriad of gratitude.

Now notice that little negative voice becomes a mere whisper. The spiritual guidance, even if you’re a non-believer of this stuff (and that’s ok) is the light and compassion with others brings the light and love from within you.

That is how we connect with ourselves and others. With a quiet mind in meditation, comes clarity in thoughts and guidance. As the famous quote from the beautiful Audrey Hepburn "Nothing is impossible, the word itself says I'm possible"
